Student Visa

Child Student Visa
The Child Student visa is for children aged 4 to 17 who wish to study at an independent school in the UK. To qualify, you must:
- Have an unconditional offer of a place at an approved independent school.
- Provide proof of suitable arrangements for your travel, reception, and care in the UK.
- Demonstrate sufficient funds to cover your course fees and living costs.
Parents or guardians of children under 12 may apply for a Parent of a Child Student visa to accompany them. The Child Student visa is granted for the duration of the course up to a maximum of six years, with the possibility of extension for further studies.
Student Dependent Visa
The Student Dependent visa allows family members of international students to join them in the UK. Eligible dependents include:
- Spouse or civil partner
- Unmarried partner (if you have lived together for at least two years)
- Children under 18 years old
To qualify, the main student visa holder must be studying a postgraduate course that is at least nine months long, or be a government-sponsored student on a course of at least six months. You must also demonstrate sufficient funds to support your dependents during their stay in the UK. Dependents can work or study while in the UK.
Student Visitor Visa
The Student Visitor visa, also known as the Short-term Study visa, is for individuals who wish to study a short course in the UK, such as an English language course or a training programme. To be eligible, you must:
- Have an unconditional offer of a place on a course that lasts no longer than six months (or 11 months for an English language course).
- Show that you have enough money to support yourself during your stay and pay for your return journey.
- Meet the health and character requirements.
This visa is granted for the duration of your course up to a maximum of six or 11 months and does not allow you to work or extend your stay in the UK.
